Brooklyn Nets: Randy Foye to Miss Opener vs. Celtics

Brooklyn Nets veteran shooting guard Randy Foye will miss Brooklyn’s season opener in Boston on Wednesday after straining his hamstring in practice, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.

Foye’s hamstring injury reportedly is not serious, but the Nets are being cautious by holding him out against the Celtics.

Foye was in the running to start at shooting guard for the Nets, but on Wednesday Brooklyn will have to look elsewhere. Head coach Kenny Atkinson said he had not yet decided who would start at shooting guard, and it will be a game-day decision.
