Brooklyn Nets: Player grades from night to forget in Charlotte

It was essentially over early. The Charlotte Hornets jumped out to a 26-6 lead in the first quarter and never led by less than five points the rest of the way in a 100-87 win Friday night over the Brooklyn Nets at Spectrum Center.

Brooklyn (17-20) put up season lows with 87 points and 14.8 percent shooting from 3-point range as Charlotte (17-17) salvaged a split of the home-and-home set after losing at Barclays Center on Wednesday 134-132 in double overtime.

Guards Kemba Walker, Jeremy Lamb and Tony Parker shredded the Nets defense, combining for 67 of Charlotte’s 100 points, while Brooklyn finished with just three players in double figures on a night when they shot 39.
