There are many moments in sports where professional athletes just don’t get it. It’s important to highlight the moments in which they do get it and are able to make positive differences in peoples’ lives. Brooklyn Nets‘ Kyrie Iriving undoubtedly gets it!
Kyrie Irving had an opportunity to help out a Brooklyn Nets fan who recently lost their home. Fahad Saleem’s house burnt down in early March, and the only thing that survived was a Brooklyn Nets Kyrie Irving jersey. He posted on Twitter about the unfortunate life-changing event:
Once Kyrie learned of his story, he immediately got his hands on Fahad’s jersey and signed it, writing a personal message to Fahad in the process:
Earlier in March, Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie also reached out, tweeting“Jerseys are replaceable.
