Wednesday night, the Brooklyn Nets met the Miami Heat at Barclays Center in the final regular season game of the year. For Miami, it was a little different than just any away game. Dwyane Wade ended his NBA career last night in Brooklyn and the atmosphere was odd.
Look, real recognize real and Wade has been a Hall-of-Fame player for more than a decade. But this game meant something more for Nets fans than just Wade’s last dance.
The Nets were playing for the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference with a win, and found a way to spoil Wade’s last game by handing the Heat a 113-94 loss.
