The Brooklyn Nets took a risk when signing Greivis Vasquez in July. Vasquez participated in only 23 games last season with the Milwaukee Bucks and last played in mid-December.
To devote more time to rehabilitating, the 29-year-old point guard opted out of representing his home country Venezuela in the Rio Olympics. Vasquez previously played on the Venezuelan national basketball team in the 2007 FIBA America Championships. Despite missing out on an opportunity this summer, his time recuperating seems to be paying off. The Venezuelan has been looking good as of late.
The Nets began training camp on September 27.
