Mikhail Prokhorov and the committee he assigned to help him find a new GM were all on hand Monday night at Barclays Center, and according to league sources, fully engaged in the interview process.
According to sources, Prokhorov, along with Dmitry Razumov, Irina Pavlova, Sergey Kushchenko and Brett Yormark, will interview eight candidates over three days. Although the interview schedule is a closely guarded secret, word is that Arturas Karnisovas was among those who sat down with the group Monday. Karnisovas is the assistant GM of the Nuggets who played college ball at Seton Hall.
Among the others expected to be interviewed: Bryan Colangelo, who was NBA executive of the year with Phoenix and Toronto; Danny Ferry, who was the Atlanta GM until a racially charged controversy cost him his job; Gersson Rosas, assistant GM in Houston; and Frank Zanin, the Nets assistant GM who worked closely with Billy King for the past five years.
