Shams Charania of RealGM reported on August 3 that the Nets would waive Earl Clark. One week later, the team finally made it official. The Nets are now back at 16 players after the addition of Donald Sloan and the subtraction of Clark. Of the 16, 12 players have fully guaranteed contracts.
Clark played poorly with the Nets during the last four months of the season and playoffs. He played in the Orlando Summer League this July but didn't impress. In 10 games with the team, he averaged 2.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in 9.
