Kevin Durant to the Brooklyn Nets was an idea that sounded flat-out silly not all that long ago.
But with the rapid rise of the Nets this season — their win over the Los Angeles Lakers Friday night was their 38th of the season, already an increase of 10 victories over last season with eight games left to play — and the emergence of D’Angelo Russell as a star-caliber point guard, the idea of Durant coming to New York’s “other team” may not be as crazy as it sounds.
It’s a concept that gets a little more intriguing with the news that Durant, as part of his “Fly By” video series, will get a personal tour of Brooklyn from Russell, one of three cities to be included in Durant’s new project.
