When asked about the Most Improved Player award for the 2018-19 NBA season, Brooklyn Nets point guard D’Angelo Russell had a very simple answer for Anthony Puccio of SportsNet New York:
“I’m gonna win that s–t.”
Russell’s confidence is at an all time high, and the former second overall pick is having himself a season. Averaging 20.4 points per game, shooting 37 percent from 3-point range, we have not seen Russell have sustained success like this in his career.
Russell has every reason to be this confident in himself right now, breaking both NBA and Nets records on the floor this season.
