Brooklyn Nets: Caris LeVert suffers horrifying leg injury

Tragedy struck the Brooklyn Nets late in the second quarter against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

With three seconds left in the second quarter, the Nets’ budding star, Caris LeVert, attempted to make a buzzer-beating chase-down block against the Timberwolves’ Josh Okogie.

LeVert, however, lost his balance in mid-air and came down on the floor awkwardly, causing his right ankle to contort to a horrifying degree. The severity of the injury was reminiscent of Gordon Hayward’s appalling ankle fracture that occurred just over a year ago.

A stretcher was brought onto the court within seconds of LeVert’s fall as the team’s medical staff helped him exit the arena.
