The Brooklyn Nets have won 13 of their last 17 games to get back into the Eastern Conference playoff hunt, a stretch that began on Dec. 7 with a win over the Toronto Raptors. The teams meet Friday for the first time since then, this time at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
The Nets (21-22) have climbed from 11th to seventh in the East since their 106-105 overtime victory over the Raptors (31-12) at Brooklyn a little more than a month ago.
Since the start of the New Year, both teams have been playing well. Brooklyn and Toronto have each won four of their five games in January and the Raptors bring a three-game winning streak into play Friday.
