In 43 NBA seasons, the Brooklyn Nets franchise hasn’t had a lot to celebrate, to be honest. Just 19 playoff appearances, two trips to the NBA Finals, no titles and an all-time winning percentage of .415 means there’s been more bad times than good.
The ABA days were better, particularly toward the end of the maverick league’s run, when the then-New York Nets won two of the last three championships.
In all, the franchise made the playoffs seven times in the ABA’s nine seasons and with the late flurry of excellence posted a 374-370 record in that span.
