It may have been five days before Halloween, but the end-game sequence of events the last time the Brooklyn Nets faced the New Orleans Pelicans was right from the scripting pen of a Tim Burton or Wes Craven.
The Nets had led the then-undefeated Pelicans by 12 points early in the second half before New Orleans battled back on their home floor at Smoothie King Center, tying the game midway through the fourth quarter.
The Nets responded with a burst and took a 115-108 lead on Caris LeVert‘s second straight turnaround jumper in the paint with 2:04 remaining.
