The Brooklyn Nets entered play Monday night against the Dallas Mavericks below the .500 mark for the first time in almost two months and coming off their worst loss of the season Saturday night in Miami.
They responded with one of the most lopsided blowout victories in franchise history, pummeling the Mavericks 127-88 to set a record for their largest win ever at Barclays Center, matching the biggest win in the Brooklyn era in the process.
The 39-point margin surpassed the previous high at home set in a 117-80 victory over the Washington Wizards on April 10, 2015, and matched the Brooklyn era standard set in a 107-68 victory on the road over the Orlando Magic on Nov.
