Friday night’s double-overtime loss by the Brooklyn Nets may have been the unkindest cut of all.
The Nets lost a 10-point lead in the final 3:52 of regulation, including a seven-point lead in the final 33 seconds, then couldn’t hold a four-point lead in the first overtime before ultimately dropping a 131-125 decision to the Memphis Grizzlies at Barclays Center.
The loss extends Brooklyn’s season-long losing streak to five games and was the sixth straight loss at home for the Nets (8-15), who ended a four-game homestand with an 0-4 record and three straight late collapses.
Memphis (13-8) snapped a three-game skid with the victory.
