Brooklyn Nets: 3 takeaways from 116-79 loss to Indiana Pacers

After scrapping their way through four losses in the Las Vegas Summer League, the Brooklyn Nets folded their tent early on Friday afternoon, taking a 116-79 drubbing from the Indiana Pacers to end their session at 0-5.

The Nets fell behind quickly as the Pacers scored the game’s first eight points and went up 15-4 midway through the first quarter.

But Brooklyn scrapped back to tie the game on Theo Pinson’s long 3-pointer with 1:06 remaining in the period before Indiana (2-3) took a two-point lead into the break.

The Nets tied the game twice more early in the second before the Pacers began to pull away, scoring 16 straight points to go up 39-23 and leading by as much as 20 before Brooklyn chipped away to pull to within 52-41 at the half.
