Andrew Nicholson, or “YMCA”, as some have previously called him, was traded to the Brooklyn Nets as a backup to provide a boost off the bench. Nicholson was part of the Bojan Bogdanovic trade with the Wizards in order to provide the Nets with a young cast of players that could be developed by the team as part of the rebuild.
Nicholson was originally drafted by the Orlando Magic with the 19th overall pick back in 2012. At his college, St. Bonaventure, he received many awards for his playing ability. He won Atlantic 10 Tournament MVP and Player of the Year in 2012.
