There’s a lot to unpack with the newly established format for the 2021-22 NBA G League season.
The two-part format features both a 36-game regular season and an expanded Showcase Cup, a 14-game tournament that begins Friday, November 5. The Showcase Cup — which features all 29 teams and the G League Ignite — concludes at the G League Winter Showcase (December 19-22) followed by the commencement of the regular season. All team records will reset starting December 27 and the traditional 36-game regular season will begin.
For Long Island and its new head coach Adam Caporn, they’ll open the 14-game Showcase Cup against the Delaware Blue Coats on Saturday, November 6, on the road.
