This was the case for former first round pick Bostjan Nachbar, a native of Slovenia who made the jump to the NBA as a 22-year old.
While his transition to the NBA would be one that took big adjustments both on and off of the court, the challenges that he had to overcome in his childhood were much bigger than basketball.
