With point guards Jeremy Lin and Isaiah Whitehead injured and Greivis Vasquez waived, the Nets brought up Yogi Ferrell from the D-League.
There were few bright spots in Wednesday’s 110-96 loss to the Knicks at the Garden, but letting the undrafted rookie get his feet wet was one. Ferrell made his NBA debut and logged 14:02, minutes that could be valuable with his team’s point-guard woes.
“It’s difficult. We have a lot of guys learning on the fly,’’ Brook Lopez said of Ferrell. “We’re fortunate to have the system we do. Being able to call Yogi up because he was with us during the preseason, it was a pretty quick situation for him.
