There have been very few transactions in the month of August. The free agency period has largely come to a screeching halt. On Thursday, however, two former Brooklyn Nets made the headlines for signing on with new teams.
Donald Sloan, who played for the Nets during the 2015-16 season, has signed on to a one year deal to play for the Washington Wizards, per Shams Charania. Sloan will compete with Tim Frazier for backup minutes at point guard.
Sloan hasn’t played in the NBA since his stint with the Nets in 2015-16. He played last season overseas in China.
