In a breaking item in Nets rumors, the Brooklyn Nets might be looking to purchase their way into the back half of the NBA Draft's first round.
According to ESPN's Marc Stein, Nets ownership are looking past their dire luxury tax situation in order to take part in one of the most loaded first rounds in NBA Draft history.
Word is that deep-pockets, luxury-tax-impervious Brooklyn is pushing hard to buy a pick tonight in the 20s

The Nets have around $2 million in cash to spend, along with the rights to Bojan Bogdanovic. They also have Marcus Thornton's expiring contract, worth $8 million for a team looking to create cap space for the 2015 offseason.
Other than that, the Nets are pretty limited by contract lengths and financials - meaning that they will have to find suitors with those specific assets in mind in order to ascend to the 20s range in the draft.
