KNOXVILLE, TENN- Despite a scoreless first half between Bowling Green and Tennessee, the Volunteers of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) were able to pull away in the second-half with four goals to down the Falcons, 4-0.
Both teams came into the contest off of fantastic 2021 seasons, in which the Volunteers took home the SEC title, while the Falcons won the Mid-American Conference crown.
The Falcons had strong first-half defense against the #21 ranked Volunteers, but early in the second-half in the 51st minute, Taylor Huff netted her second goal of the year to put Tennessee on the board and break the stalemate.
