BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University football walked away with its win over rival University of Toledo with a little more than just bragging rights and the Battle of I-75 trophy.
The Falcons became bowl eligible with their victory over Toledo to snap a seven-year bowl drought.
This week’s online bowl projections are split with the Falcons playing in the Quick Lane (Detroit), Idaho Famous Potato, or Bahamas bowls.
“It's an unbelievable feeling, but at the end of the day, that's not what we're satisfied with, and that's not what we're aiming for,” defensive lineman Karl Brooks said.
