Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Medical Mutual Athletes of the Week, as selected by the strategic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are baseball player Landon Willeman and softball player Madi McCoy.
Landon Willeman, a freshman from Napoleon, Ohio, led the Falcons to a 7-1 conference victory over Miami on Tuesday. In his first-career start, the righty went 6.0 innings, surrendering just one run on four hits while striking out six batters.
