South Bend, Ind. – Redshirt junior Rachel Walny earned a Mid-American Conference automatic qualifying bid in the 5000 as the Bowling Green State University indoor track and field team had a strong opening day at the Meyo Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame.
Along with Walny's strong performance, Dorresha Green and Peyton Lee advanced to the semifinals in the 60 and 60 hurdles, respectively. BGSU's weight throwers also had yet another strong effort.
