UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Bowling Green State University came up just short of shocking the college football world on Saturday.
The Falcons’ offense was nearly unstoppable in the first half against one of the nation’s top defenses, but No. 8 Penn State slowed down BGSU in the second half and scored just enough to turn a 24-20 halftime deficit into a 34-27 nonconference win at Beaver Stadium.
“We don’t care really who we’re playing. We’re going to come out and try to give them our best shot no matter if it’s the No. 1 team in the nation or the last team in the nation,” BGSU senior cornerback Jordan Oladokun said.
