BOWLING GREEN — At one point during his sophomore year at Dublin Jerome High School, Sam Neverov received an unexpected visit.
On the way out of class, Neverov learned that there was a college recruiter there to see him. More specifically, the recruiter was a football coach looking ahead to the future.
Living in the shadows of Ohio State, Neverov obviously knew about college football.
He just had never really considered the possibility that he would play it.
“It was weird to me because, up until that point, football was just something I did, a game I played, and something I had fun with,” Neverov said.
