BOWLING GREEN — What was supposed to be a dream season for Bowling Green men's basketball is feeling much more like a nightmare five weeks before the postseason.
The Falcons' slump has turned into an outright free-fall, as BG lost a fifth straight game on Wednesday with a 76-70 defeat to hapless Western Michigan at the Stroh Center.
Prior to Wednesday, the Broncos had beaten only one Division I team, had not won a game since Dec. 18, and had not won a road game at all — but it was no matter against the Falcons, who trailed for more than 39 minutes and were beaten on their homecourt by one of the worst teams in the MAC.
