BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Todd Simon, the head coach at Southern Utah for the past seven years, is the new head men's basketball coach at Bowling Green State University, Director of Athletics Derek van der Merwe announced today, Wed., March 15.
Simon, Bowling Green's 18th head men's basketball coach, has compiled an overall record of 127-115 in his eight seasons as a head coach, which includes serving as the interim head coach at UNLV for 17 games in 2016.
Fresh off Southern Utah's first 20-win hat trick in more than 40 years, Simon was named a finalist earlier this month for the 2023 Skip Prosser Man of the Year Award, which is given annually to a head coach who not only achieves success on the basketball court, but who displays moral integrity off the court as well.
