BOWLING GREEN — As Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team navigates the early part of its season with numerous injuries and lineup changes, coach Todd Simon is thrilled to have a veteran presence back on the floor.
Trey Thomas, one of BGSU’s most experienced guards at the Division I level, returned three games ago after missing the previous six with a right ankle injury. The 6-foot senior and Vanderbilt transfer had one of his best games at the college level when he scored 16 points in his first start at BGSU – a 97-49 win over NCAA Division II Ohio Dominican on Sunday at the Stroh Center.
