BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University men’s basketball coach Todd Simon didn’t necessarily have a specific message for Trey Thomas when Mid-American Conference play started a couple of weeks ago.
But there’s a mindset he wants his point guard to have, and through four games, Thomas has certainly had it.
“You can just tell him, he’s got to be the baddest guard on the floor,” Simon said. “Like he’s just got to have that mentality, and you’re starting to really see it come out.”
Thomas, a 6-foot senior who is in his second year with BGSU after spending three seasons at Vanderbilt, has been on a torrid pace offensively to start the league portion of the Falcons’ schedule.
