MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Bowling Green Falcons (1-1-0, 1-1-0 CCHA) earned a point in the CCHA standings on Sunday (Oct. 2), falling to Northern Michigan (1-1-0, 1-1-0 CCHA) by a score of 4-3 in overtime. The Wildcats started fast, scoring a power play goal two minutes into the game. They added an even strength goal less than five minutes after that, giving them a 2-0 lead that maintained for the rest of the opening frame. Halfway through the second period, Austen Swankler cut into the NMU lead with a power play score. The Falcons wasted no time scoring again, as Ethan Scardina tied the game 15 seconds later with an even strength tally.
