JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — A dominating first quarter helped the Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team defeat East Tennessee State 82-64 on Sunday at Brooks Gym on the ETSU campus.
The Falcons outscored the Mocs 26-12 in the first quarter, shooting 52.4 percent (11 of 21) from the field. Bowling Green (7-1) led the entire way against ETSU (8-3).
Lexi Fleming scored 18 points on 7 of 9 shooting to pace Bowling Green. Jocelyn Tate had 16 points and eight rebounds, Morgan Sharps put in 14 points, and Elissa Brett had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
