Starting cornerback at BGSU will transfer

BOWLING GREEN — A starter in the Bowling Green secondary announced his intention to transfer from the program on Friday.

Cameron Jefferies dodges Michigan State's quarterback Damion Terry after recovering a fumble that he returned for a touchdown last season.

Cameron Jefferies, who appeared in 21 games and started 12 times across the past two seasons, will leave BG as a graduate transfer. Jefferies announced the decision on Twitter, and BG confirmed that he would transfer in an email.

The junior from Painesville Riverside said he is on track to graduate from BGSU in August, at which point he will be free to transfer without penalty.
