BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team is in an unfamiliar position early in the Todd Simon era.
The Falcons have dug themselves into a hole that continues to get deeper each game.
A five-game losing streak – the longest since a nine-game skid late in the 2022-23 campaign – has BGSU (7-14) near the bottom of the Mid-American Conference. The Falcons’ 2-7 record in league play is tied for 10th out of 12 teams with Buffalo and one game ahead of Northern Illinois, BGSU’s opponent Tuesday night at the Stroh Center.
The tough stretch has BGSU in danger of coming up short of the MAC tournament for the third time in the last four seasons.
