RICHMOND, Va. — Bowling Green fell victim to Virginia Commonwealth’s renowned defense in a 72-61 defeat Monday at E.J. Wade Arena.
The Falcons (1-2) turned over the ball 27 times in the game as the Rams (3-0) were able to build a double-digit lead late in the first half and protect it for the duration of the second half. VCU led by as many 25 points in the final 20 minutes.
Demajeo Wiggins paced Bowling Green with his third double-double in as many games. The senior overcame early foul trouble to finish with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
