AKRON — The final score may have been a double-digit loss, but Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team proved a pretty big point on Friday night.
The Falcons can be a force in the Mid-American Conference and compete with anybody, even preseason favorite Akron.
“There’s no question,” BGSU coach Todd Simon said after the Falcons’ 83-67 loss to the Zips at James A. Rhodes Arena. “Our message is, they’ve been able to keep this group together for a long time, and obviously they’re the favorite in the league. And now, we’ve got a barometer of the gap that we’ve got to close.
