BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University women’s basketball used a big performance from fifth-year senior Morgan Sharps on Senior Day as she lifted the Falcons to a 66-47 victory over Miami (Ohio) on Saturday in Mid-American Conference action at the Stroh Center.
Sharps finished with a game-high 29 points on 50 percent (11 of 22) shooting, including a 53 percent (7 for 13) clip from 3-point range in leading the Falcons to victory.
BGSU (15-12, 9-7 MAC) pulled away by outscoring the RedHawks 44-26 in the middle two quarters.
The Falcons ran away from Miami with a 19-4 edge over the final 7:42 of the first half.
