A cold-shooting second quarter was too much for the Bowling Green State University women's basketball team to overcome Saturday afternoon (Feb. 2), as the host University of Toledo downed the Falcons, 76-56, at Savage Arena.
Nakiah Black scored a game-high 24 points, including 19 in the opening half as the Rockets took a 39-18 lead into the break. Kaayla McIntyre added 13 points and Tatyana Davis 10 for the hosts. McIntyre was credited with 13 rebounds as well.
Black went 6-for-8 from three-point range on the afternoon, while Davis, who entered the game having gone just 6-for-27 from the arc in UT's first 18 games, was 2-of-3 from long distance on Saturday.
