BOWLING GREEN — A banged-up Bowling Green State University football doesn’t want to let that slow them down in its Mid-American Conference opener against East Division preseason favorite Ohio.
Despite having to significantly change the weekly preparation — including not even practicing Monday — due to the number of injuries sustained in Saturday’s 31-6 loss at No. 2 Michigan, the Falcons (1-2) are confident in whoever takes the field in their critical showdown with the Bobcats (3-1).
“There’s a lot of room for excuses right now, but there [are] none,” BGSU coach Scot Loeffler said. “There’s a ton, whenever you look at how many injuries we have, not being able to make decisions with game plan until late in the week, there’s a ton of excuses.
