BOWLING GREEN — What a year September was for Bowling Green.
The Falcons played seven overtimes, one overtime, and no overtimes. They played in California, Ohio, and Mississippi. They beat a team on the cusp of the top 25 and lost to an FCS team. They played with and without their head coach and starting quarterback.
Now, a new kind of challenge begins for Bowling Green. The Falcons kick off MAC play at Akron, a team returning home after a brutal three-week road swing. The Zips were trounced by Michigan State and Tennessee, but showed pluck in a 21-12 loss to Liberty on Saturday.
