BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University football coach Scot Loeffler isn’t taking Akron lightly this week.
The Zips’ 1-6 record is a little deceiving in his eyes.
“When you watch the tape, trust me, I know what a 1-6 team looks like in this league. My first two years here, we were god-awful, and we were a 1-6 team, 0-6 team,” Loeffler said. “I know what that looks like, and this Akron team doesn’t look like that at all.
“... This isn’t a 1-6 team that we’re playing. They take Indiana all the way down to [quadruple] overtime, they should’ve beat Indiana.
