Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University offensive lineman Ryan Hunter was selected in the first round of the Canadian Football League (CFL) Draft Thursday evening by the Toronto Argonauts. The Argonauts are the defending Grey Cup Champions.
Widely considered one of the top available players for the CFL Draft, Hunter slid to the ninth pick of the first round because of his status as an Undrafted Free Agent signee with the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL. A native of North Bay, Ontario, Hunter was projected No. 1 overall in the CFL Draft before deciding to sign with the Chiefs.
