BOWLING GREEN — Saturday’s game at the Stroh Center yielded no deviation from the current Mid-American Conference standings.
That proved to be bad news for Western Michigan and very good news for Bowling Green.
The streaking Falcons won their ninth consecutive game, defeating the slumping Broncos 79-48.
Bowling Green (13-5) never trailed in the game and coasted for most of the second half to improve to 5-0 in the MAC, their best start to league play since 1961-62.
Dylan Frye scored 14 points to lead Bowling Green, and Justin Turner chipped in 13 to lead the Falcons.
