AKRON, Ohio — Bowling Green State University outscored Akron 31-13 in the fourth quarter to cap off a remarkable comeback with a 71-66 Mid-American Conference women’s basketball win on Saturday at James A. Rhodes Arena in Akron.
The Falcons improved to 14-2 overall and 3-1 in the MAC, while Akron suffered its first league loss in falling to 12-3 (3-1).
Elissa Brett scored a team-high 16 points and surpassed 1,000 for her career to lead BGSU.
Molly Neitzel had 20 points to front Akron.
