BOWLING GREEN — Ty Roder got to know Bowling Green State University baseball coach Kyle Hallock prior to college.
He is looking forward to building that relationship with his new mentor even more for the next couple of years.
Roder, a 2021 Anthony Wayne High School graduate, recently announced his commitment to transfer to BGSU after spending three seasons at Wright State University. The 6-foot-4 right-handed pitcher is “stoked” to be joining a BGSU program not only because of the historic success it had during the 2024 campaign, but because of the coach running the show.
“I wanted to find somewhere where I know that I’m going to thrive as a person and a player, where I’m going to develop,” Roder said.
