Nick Mosley and Terion Stewart combined for 161 yards on the ground, as the Falcons (3-8, 1-6 MAC) had 150 rushing yards to Miami's 119. The RedHawks (6-5, 5-2 MAC) had a 346-258 advantage in total offense.
Miami led by one score late in the first half, but Tyre Shelton's 1-yard touchdown run with 1:26 left before intermission gave the hosts a 20-7 lead at the intermission.
