BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s football team has wasted little time getting off to good starts in games this season.
It has been critical in helping the Falcons put themselves in a position to win every week.
When BGSU marched 45 yards in five plays for a touchdown in its first offensive possession of Saturday’s 41-26 Mid-American Conference win at Toledo — and after forcing a three-and-out on the Rockets’ first possession — it marked the fifth time in eight games in 2024 that the Falcons found the end zone on their opening drive. Since the first play of the season when running back Justin Pegues returned the opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown against Fordham, BGSU has been productive and efficient right out of the gates.
