BOWLING GREEN — Grant Loy, who started seven games at quarterback for Bowling Green this season, intends to transfer for his final season of eligibility, two sources with knowledge of the situation told The Blade.
Loy, a redshirt junior, will graduate from Bowling Green this school year and can transfer penalty-free for his last season of college football. As of Monday morning, Loy was not in the transfer portal but Bowling Green has been informed of the decision, sources said.
The former walk-on worked his way into becoming a regular for the Falcons. Loy earned a scholarship by his second year on campus and saw playing time in both 2017 and 2018 as a change-of-pace running option behind former starter Jarret Doege.
